PREPRESS - COPY EDITING
Copy editing is the editorial work that an editor does to make changes and
improvements to a manuscript. When you partner with Amnet, your copy editor is a
regular part of your
project team. He or she will be familiar with your style requirements and
special needs and query the author whenever there is doubt about what is wanted.
Your copy editor will also:
- Ensure accuracy in spelling, punctuation and grammar
- Preserve consistency in copy style, figures
- Maintain legends and references
- Check for completeness of the manuscript
Technical Editing
Technical editors with scientific/technical/medical subject expertise are
assigned to check and make sure that the specifications, page-layouts,
typefaces, tables, equations and figure placements, are maintained according to
defined project requirements.
When you partner with Amnet, your technical editor is a regular part of your
project team. He or she will be familiar with your style requirements and
special needs.
Proofreading
Proofreaders check copy and mark any errors so that your copy conforms to the
style manual you're using or to international or British standards. Sometimes
this process is called line editing. Because our proofreaders will work as part
of your
dedicated team, they'll be familiar with your special needs.
